シューズ裏の人々
裸足（ベアフット）ランニングの技術を応用し、ランニングシューズ界に新たな革命を起こそうと、コロラド州ボールダーのランナーから成る小さなエリート集団が、このニュートン ランニングを創設しました。その理念は、ランナーとコーチによって、ランナーのためのランニングシューズを作ろうというものでした。アスリートの意見に傾聴し、よいランニングシューズを作ることだけでなく、よいランナーをも作ることを日々心掛けています。
JJERRY LEE（ジェリー・リー）
ニュートンランニング創立者、社長
熱心なマラソンランナーでもあるジェリーは、ブラッドリー大学で学位を取得後、（米）公認会計士の資格を取得。ボールダーで不動産ビジネスに２５年以上従事した後に起業。現在は妻と２人の子の父親でもあります。
彼は人生の情熱を、仕事と家庭、そしてランニングに注いできました。そして、ダニー・アブシャイヤーの個人的かつ経済的なサポートを得て、のち１０年後には、ニュートンランニングを現実のものとしての立ち上げに至りました
DANNY ABSHIRE（ダニー・アブシャイヤー）
ニュートンランニングの共同起業者、副社長、グローバルマーケティングディレクター
ダニーは100マイルから数日間かけるロングランまで、あらゆる距離のランニングをこなすランナーです。1988年からコロラド州ボールダーにて共同経営でスポーツ専門店「Active Imprints Custom Insoles and Running Store」を開きました。そこで数多くのあらゆるスポーツ分野の足を扱う経験を積むことになります。
エリートランナーやサイクリスト、トライアスリートと密接に関わるようになり、オリンピックでのマラソン選手、10人のアイアンマン世界選手権チャンピオン、そしてオリンピックやツールドフランスで活躍するサイクリストのために、スポーツ科学に基づいた独自の商品を開発してきました。「アスリートの夢と目標を達成するため、なるべく痛みやケガなく、快適かつ速くなるようサポートしてきたことが、僕の強みだ」とダニーは言います。 ダニーは、マルチスポーツという企業で、1993年から生体力学＆ケガ予防ディレクターそして、ランニングフォームコーチとして活躍している傍ら、コンサルタントとしても活躍しています。趣味を超越して、シューズ開発やデザイン開発などを手がけている。20年来連れ添った熱心なランナーでもあるジェニファーと2人の息子との4人暮らし。
Stephen Gartside
Newton Running President
Stephen Gartside joined Newton Running as President in March of 2009. Stephen has 20+ years of experience in sales, marketing, as well as building businesses. Prior to joining Newton Running, Stephen served as Chairman of Evolving Systems, and prior to that as President and CEO of Evolving Systems. Evolving Systems is publicly traded software company focused on providing provisioning solutions to the world’s largest wireless carriers. Stephen was also one of the early employees at Terabeam, serving as SVP Corporate Development where he helped write the company’s business plan, and raise over $500M to launch the company. During his career, Stephen has served as Region Director of Sales for Stratus Computers, and Area VP of Sales for NCR and AT&T GIS.
Stephen is a passionate life long endurance athlete, completing his first marathon at age 15, and is still running hard today with a 2:53 as a Masters runner at the 2008 Rock and Roll San Antonio Marathon. Stephen has also completed an Ironman and enjoys some ultra running. Stephen is married with two high school age girls and resides in Colorado after living in various locations around the US and abroad growing up and during his career in the high tech industry. Stephen has a BBA in Marketing from the University at Texas in Austin.
